Description

Hello!
We're a small family of 3 (my partner, my 5-year-old son and I), and we have a vacation home in durfort-et-saint-martin-de-sossenac, in the Gard department.
For us, it's a magical place, where you can recharge your batteries, feel at peace, and contemplate nature and its wonders.

The setting

About the location:
We're at the foot of the Cevennes mountains (in the piemont, but not at altitude), and the land is bordered by a small stream, which dries up in the middle of summer, but despite everything, the land is still green and it's very pleasant.
The small wood behind the house remains uncultivated, and is therefore home to many birds, which sing from morning to night.
The plot is easy to get to, but still quite isolated, being far from the village center. So you won't be bothered by the noise of the city or its lights.
When night falls and the stars come out, it's easy to see why people say there's no better place to watch them than the Cévennes.

The spots

This little house sits in the middle of a large 7000m2 plot, part of which is a field (sometimes used for horses), part woodland, and part garden in front of the house.
It's in this part that we can welcome campers. You'll have a view of the small château de fressac.

The sanitary facilities

There are no toilet, shower or drinking water facilities on site, so we prefer camping cars. But if that's not a problem for you, you can of course also make a reservation.

The amenities

You'll have access to an electrical outlet.

The activities

Not far away, the medieval town of Sauve, with its many artists' studios.
Not far either is Anduze, with its pottery and steam train that takes you to the bamboo grove.
There are also some nice rivers in the area.
You can also take a short walk to the nearby Château de Fressac (possible with children, our son did it).

Other things

Minus: insectophobes abstain...we're in the middle of nature, so there are lots of little animals. Sometimes even bigger ones (foxes, wild boars), even if they don't normally come near when there's activity.
