Description

Camping on a farm with breathtaking views over the valley

The setting

In a quiet hamlet in the Périgord Vert region, you'll enjoy private parking and access to the campsite. Chickens, roosters, ducks and geese roam freely on the farm, and the birdsong will delight you. A green setting out of sight.

The spots

In a very quiet hamlet, we have 3 camper pitches on limestone and 3 grass pitches for tents. The area is 6000 m² and we welcome a maximum of 6 pitches per night, with no limit on the number of travelers.

The sanitary facilities

A self-service solar shower and dry toilet area with hand-washing facilities is available close to the camping area. Use of the house's private sanitary facilities is possible on request.

The amenities

We offer electricity (extension cord supplied), water, wifi internet, washing machine (self-service during the day), private kitchen available with crockery. A store selling local produce is open during the day, and we offer breakfast baskets and country table meals at lunchtime and in the evening, by prior arrangement. Takeaway on request.

The activities

The farm is ideal for relaxing in nature, strolling around the 4 hectares and observing the animals. We offer 4-hour permaculture courses on different themes. There are walks in the woods and along the river below. On Sunday evenings, we organize meals with entertainment all summer long. The Périgord Vert is full of surprises for young and old alike, and we particularly like the Nanteuil lake 5 kms away for swimming, the Jumillac castle 12 kms away for historical visits, the town of Thiviers 10 kms away for its market and shopping center, the vélorail at Corgnac sur l'isle 6 kms away... and we'll have plenty of other tourist information to offer you.

  • A sweet and invigorating stopover in the midst of Aurore's beautiful agro-ecological project. Thanks for the great breakfast, which gave me a lot of energy for the next few days! I'll be back with great pleasure.

  • An excellent experience at Aurore and Egbert's farm, which we leave with regret! A warm welcome, a spacious location and very pleasant moments with our hosts. We'd love to come back and recommend their farm to anyone looking for nature and peace and quiet.

  • What wonderful memories we brought back from Aurore and her husband!
Even before we arrived, Aurore offered to prepare the evening meal with vegetables from the farm. All we had to do was pitch our tents before spending a lovely evening with our hosts, who introduced us to agro-ecology.
We loved watching the chickens, geese and ducks wander around (a little less the roosters, I admit). The setting for camping is sublime and the riverside walks in the surrounding area are magnificent.
We plan to stop there again on our next vacation trip. And if we didn't live so far away, we'd come back with our friends for Sunday dinner.
