Description

We are a calm & tranquil campsite just outside Domfront by the velo scenic route. It is just a short drive or cycle to the town but it seems like you are in the middle of the countryside.

The setting

I may be biased but I think there is a special atmosphere, a wonderful feeling of calm & peace on our site. It is full of nature with kingfishers, cuckoos, deer, wild boar & even once a wolf just passing through. The night sky is incredibly clear with no light pollution. We have two lakes to sit by and also to enjoy the sound of our waterfall.

The spots

The main camping area is close to our shower block & kitchenette with shady areas & sunny spots too. We don't have designated pitches but prefer the informality of choice. We have several tiers separated by shady pine trees and soft mossy ground.

The sanitary facilities

Our shower block has two showers & two toilets, toilet seats & paper.
Our kitchenette outside has a cooker, microwave, fridge, kettle, coffee machine, telephone charging points, sinks & airers.

The amenities

Wifi is freely available. The kitchenette is stocked with pans, plates etc & a supply of salt, pepper, sugar etc. There is a minimal charge of 1e for coffee & cold drinks.
Electric can be supplied by cable in certain areas for an extra charge of 5e per night.

The activities

Only 4kms from the hustle & bustle of Domfront it's castle, bars, restaurants, shops & events, friday being market day. Nearby is forest for hiking & cycling & we are on the Velo Scenic route to Mont St Michel. Bagnoles de L'orne is only 12km away with its lake ,casino ,shops, bars & velo rail. Torchamp is close with a kayaking centre. There are many cycling /hiking paths on the Voie Verte. Great markets at Flers, Ferte Mace, Vire & St Hilaire de Harcourt.
It is possible to fish in our lakes with carp up to 55lb. We have a small selection of fishing equipment for hire & if you would like to fish the proper equipment must be used as the fish are precious

Rules

Our site is for persons 12+ yrs only
We have a no smoking or vaping policy inside any of our places but allowed outside
We ask people to respect others & for a quiet site between 10pm & 8am
Please take all your rubbish to the bins sited by the roadside as we have no rubbish collection on site.

Extras

Possibility of breakfast (€5 / person)

A continental breakfast of croissant, cafe, orange juice, cafe, yogurt with fruit.

Tent ready

We have two hammock tents which can be rented for 2e per night.
Also available are two 4 person tents at 5e per night but without camping gear.
