Description

La Coupe De Foudre. A truly unique Calvados barrel converted and situated in seclusion above our large fishing lake. Feel immersed in nature with beautiful views & dappled shade. Serenity

The setting

Quiet, peaceful & almost other worldly. Set above our fishing lake, looking over & on to the fields below.

The spots

Inside the barrel we have created a comfortable double bed with a table/shelf on the other side. Fitted with a stable door and quaint window looking over the lake.

The sanitary facilities

You have your own solar shower & dry toilet & wash basin. You also are welcome to venture down into our site to use our shower block .

The amenities

To fully immerse yourself in nature there is no internet in the cabin but it can be acessed on the site if required. The barrel is lit by 12v solar lights & if you need to charge your phone there are points down in the campsite.
There is a kitchenette with gas hob, washing sin, pans, utensils, plates , cutlery etc & a bbq & fire pit.

The activities

Only 4kms from the hustle & bustle of Domfront it's castle, bars, restaurants, shops & events, friday being market day...
Nearby is forest for hiking & cycling & we are on the Velo Scenic route to Mont St Michel.
Bagnoles de L'orne is only 12km away with its lake ,casino ,shops, bars & velo rail.
Torchamp is close with a kayaking centre. There are many cycling /hiking paths on the Voie Verte.
Great markets at Flers, Ferte Mace, Vire & St Hilaire de Harcourt.
We are always happy to suggest activities etc

Other things

It is possible to fish in our lakes with carp up to 55lb. We have a small selection of fishing equipment for hire & if you would like to fish the proper equipment must be used as the fish are precious

Rules

Our site is for persons 12+ yrs only
We have a no smoking or vaping policy inside any of our places but allowed outside
We ask people to respect others & for a quiet site between 10pm & 8am
Please take all your rubbish to the bins sited by the roadside as we have no rubbish collection on site.
Check in is after 16.00hrs & check out is by 11am
Please note we have a two night minimum booking policy
