Our estafette invites you to travel without even having to move. Comfortable and independent, this small, unusual accommodation is ideal for couples and cyclists. In Wimereux, a charming seaside resort in the heart of the Côte d'Opale. You're 15 minutes' walk from the beaches and town center, 2 minutes from the cycle route, 20 minutes' walk from the Wimille-Wimereux train station. There's even a bakery 3 minutes away.
The setting
From our little caravan, you can explore the region on foot, by bus or by car, as you wish, for sport, relaxation or cultural discovery... Discover all the riches our region has to offer, making it one of the most popular destinations for holidaymakers.
The Estafette is conveniently located under an open garage on our grounds. The neighborhood is easily accessible. It's a great place to come back to after a busy day, for some more quiet time.
You won't be in complete darkness at night, as a few streetlights in the neighborhood remain on, but a thick hedge runs alongside our property, so the light is reduced. And if you close the curtains on the Estafette, you'll be comfortable.
At certain times of the day, traffic can be a little heavier, but let's be honest, we're a long way from the big cities, and birdsong is one of the predominant sounds here! In fact, there's one nesting between the beams right now!
From the estafette, you have a view of your sheltered relaxation area. And from your relaxation area, you have a view of the estafette, our garden and the driveway leading to the street.
Distances :
Wimereux beach and town center are a 15-minute walk away.
The wild beach of Pointe aux Oies is a 15-minute walk away.
The first walks are 3 min (small forest) and 10 min (GR120) away.
The bus stop to the beach is just around the corner. The train station is a 20-minute walk away. The cycle route is 2 minutes away.
There's a bakery 3min away, a small Aldi 5min away, an Intermarché 10min away, a Carrefour Market 20min away on foot (5min by car).
The spots
The 'Estafette' area is located on our grounds, with independent access.
To offer you maximum comfort, the estafette is parked under a large open garage: you'll be protected from the vagaries of the weather and can enjoy the small living room and hanging armchair to let you rock.
The estafette is comfortably and simply furnished with a slightly raised 140cm mattress and a solar lamp. There are two small storage compartments under the bed.
You'll have plenty of time to sit in the front seats for an imaginary trip, read a book or play cards... And above all, take a photo of this unusual expedition!
And underneath the large garage, a chest of drawers is at your disposal, should you need it. You'll find plenty of board games to liven up your evenings.
Overnight accommodation is €40 (for 1 or 2 people).
You can bring your own sheets, blankets or sleeping bags. If you prefer, we can supply sheets, comforter and comforter cover (extra charge 5€).
The sanitary facilities

Dry toilets:
A dry toilet specially designed by William awaits you. It's designed to be comfortable and practical. You'll have privileged use of it.
Shower:
The shower is old-fashioned and invigorating (Capucine method). If you've never showered with a bucket before, you've got to try it! The sensation is conscious and reconnects you with your instincts! You'll have a choice of hot or cold water, and we'll prepare the water for you (approx. 15l/shower, but if you want to be thrifty, just let us know). Soap is provided (ecological grapefruit scent), as the water will be used to water the garden.
The amenities
Electricity:
On request, we can also provide you with access to electricity. So you can make a hot drink, charge your phones, electric bikes, etc... (variable rate)
Parking :
You'll have space to park your bikes under the large garage, sheltered from the elements.
Cars can be parked in a very large parking lot behind the house, or in the neighborhood if the parking lot is occupied (space is easy to find, as we're not in the city center).
The activities
You're just a 15-minute walk from the legendary seaside resort of Wimereux, and a 15-minute walk from the wild Pointe aux Oies beach.
It's ideal for enjoying the sea and water sports (surfing, sailing, kayaking, paddle, body boarding), as well as fishing and nature walks (along the Opal Coast cycle route, or the GR120 hiking trails and other walks).
You'll be able to choose from a wide range of bars and restaurants, from delicious Thai curries to pizza trucks, brasseries in the center and on the waterfront, and the famous Atlantic restaurant.
Shops are also nearby (town center 15min away, supermarkets 5min away, bakery 3m away, market days in Wimereux are Tuesdays and Fridays).
Many typical villages (Ambleteuse, Audresselles, Wissant) are accessible from the coast, on foot or by bus.
In Boulogne-sur-mer, you'll find plenty to delight you culturally, at the Monsigny theater, the Musée de la Beurrière, or Nausicaa, Europe's largest aquarium.
By car or bike, you can also discover Hardelot and its famous wooden Elisabethain theater, the only one of its kind in Europe. Inland, you can discover the Bocage Boulonnais and the remarkable natural spaces of the Parc Naturel Régional.
Here we live in a region of varied landscapes and atmospheres.
