Description

Welcome to Thudinie! We've set aside a vast natural area in the countryside behind our family home. For one or two nights, our large family will lend you our little extras: hammock, deckchair, barbecue, wooden shelter and, for the little ones, a swing and diving board.

The setting

At our place, you'll find the peace and quiet of the woodland, with its birdsong, fruit trees and sheep paddocks. The street is quiet: little traffic, set back from the main road. Natural lighting: no street lamps. The view is unobstructed: view of the neighboring field, our small pond, our hazelnut tree, the sheep shed, the flowered areas.

The spots

Once you've arrived at the private parking area, a short path between the garage and the house takes you on vacation. Past the lilacs, you won't miss the magnolia tree that serves as a parasol, or the wooden hut that serves as a bike shelter, dining room or Zen space. The site is easy to access, with flat ground. The available surface area can accommodate a large family tent and a small tent.

The sanitary facilities

Toilet and shower available during your stay. Access arrangements on site.

The amenities

We provide: a large wooden shed where you can leave your equipment or relax; garden furniture such as table, chairs, garden armchairs, hammock; indoor and outdoor drinking water; wireless internet access, indoor and outdoor electricity available; barbecue and crockery; fresh filtered water. Access to the house is provided for the fridge and toilet according to your needs and a schedule to be agreed together.

The activities

On-site: Outdoor games such as badminton, ball, giant mikado, molky, swing, dipoline.
Board games available on loan.
Nearby: Emporium (games and snacks) in Lobbes - Organic vineyard in Lobbes - Collegiate church of Saint-Ursmer in Lobbes - Hanging gardens in Thuin - Belfry in Thuin - Ravel and bike tow in Thuin - Tram museum in Thuin - Electric boats at Abbaye d'Aulne - Golf course in Ragnies.

Other things

To tide you over, you can rely on products from the pharmacy and the family kitchen (salt, pepper, oil...).
We can prepare a delicious home-cooked breakfast for you by prior arrangement.

  • Everything was done to make us feel at home with Sophie and her very friendly and pleasant family. Thanks to her, we were able to find a solution to a technical problem and continue our journey.
    Quiet, harmonious country garden.
    Nothing but the best!

  • I was warmly and sympathetically welcomed by Sophie and her husband. Exchanges via Homecamper and text messages on arrival were very helpful. The garden next to the euro-vélo 3 is magnificent, and the converted shelter a welcome sight come rain or shine. I was able to eat at the table and put my bike away for the night.
I'd also recommend the delicious breakfast, made with quality local produce: farm butter, grandfather's jam and grandmother's wafers - I loved it!
Thanks for the warm welcome Sophie!

  • I've been on the road with my bike for a week and a half now, and meeting Sophie and Bertrand has been great fun. They both have a great sense of humor and we had a good chat. I had a great time and don't regret the home-made breakfast. The site is large and allows you to choose your pitch according to your tastes. Thanks again Sophie and Bertrand ????
