Description

Hello,
We are three roommates in our thirties living in an old farmhouse: Corentin, Julien and Cécile.
We live in the heart of the countryside, 3 km from the Loire and the first "guinguettes" (dance halls).
We offer you 100 m2 of space to pitch your tents, as well as access to an independent kitchen and even a bedroom and dormitory in case of bad weather.
We love to entertain, and we want our place to be as lively as possible.

The setting

Our house is in the middle of the fields, and our only neighbors are the cows from the dairy farm next door.
Here, you can stroll through our 250 m2 permaculture vegetable garden, discover our self-built geodesic greenhouse, and chat with our sheep, chickens and cat.
We have a barn converted into a concert hall, which we offer to artists in residence, so you might be lucky enough to attend a rehearsal.
As the property is located in the heart of the countryside and just a kilometer from a village classified as a "starry town", you'll be able to admire a magnificent night sky.

The spots

We have fenced off an area of 100 m2 (to spare you the inconvenience of sheep droppings).
It's right in front of the courtyard, where you can park, and not far from the barn, where you can put your bike.
The site is flat and shaded all morning.
If you'd like some shade in the evening, we have an arbour that we can set up quickly.

The sanitary facilities

You'll have access to dry toilets independent of the house (well-maintained as we use them too) and a solar shower.

The amenities

Your pitch is in front of the door leading to the attic of the house (which is totally independent of the house). In it you'll have access to a small living room, a kitchen with fridge, microwave, kettle, coffee-maker, crockery and equipment, a gas stove and a small oven. You can recharge your equipment in this room.
We try not to accommodate artists in residence at the same time as campers, but if this is the case, this room will have to be shared.
An extension cord can be brought down to your tent if necessary.

The activities

Nearby, you'll find several guinguettes and restaurants, a canoe rental company and beautiful walks along the banks of the Evre and Loire rivers.
You can visit the Moulin de l'Epinay, which can be seen spinning from the house, and the village of Saint Florent le Vieil, classified as a "petite cité de caractère".
