Description

Large grassy plot with beautiful views of the surrounding hills and mountains, situated on the borders of Corrèze, Cantal and Lot. It lies at the end of a rural hamlet, on the edge of the large forested areas bordering the Maronne Valley.

The setting

Quiet, grassy plot (bordered by a small, little-used local road), with a distant view of the Méandres de la Maronne (a tributary of the Dordogne) and the Monts du Cantal.
Our family (Karine, Alice, Annaëlle, Titouan and Benjamin) live on the upper part of the field, in a Tiny House that you can of course visit if you feel like it! Foxes, roe deer, hinds, red kites and spotted woodpeckers visit us regularly... and the hosts will be able to tell you more about these species, as well as about the surrounding edible plants, which regularly feature in their meals.

The spots

Slightly sloping farmland mowed by a farmer in May and August, accessible via a separate entrance, with a few shady areas (walnut, oak, chestnut...) depending on the time of day. Please note that access to the hamlet is not easy for larger vehicles (over 9 m).

The sanitary facilities

Access to a water tap in the grounds, about 20 m from the guest house.
Solar shower available on loan.
If required, an electrical power reel can be rolled out up to 50 m from the house.

The amenities

WIFI is available within 30 m of the Tiny House.
Compost available for your organic food waste (vegetables, fruit, eggs).

The activities

Numerous walks on site, between meadows and forest. Various tourist sites within a 10-12 km radius: Tours de Merle, Tours de Carbonnières, medieval town of Argentat sur Dordogne, Gorges de la Cère...

Other things

The first bakery-grocery is 7.5 km away, but we can arrange for it to come to us (itinerant trade) on Tuesdays and Fridays in the late morning, simply by calling the day before or the morning of.
