Description

François and Sonia have embarked on the idea of sharing a piece of their land with tourists visiting the region.
The Tour de France, which will be visiting us this year, is an opportunity for them to launch this fun concept, which they fully endorse.
In the heart of the Parc des Volcans d'Auvergne, we welcome tourists to our quiet, secluded field in the middle of fields and volcanoes.

The field adjoins the owners' house.

The setting

The property is set away from the village, close to fields and the Cheire du Puy de Côme. Hiking trails await you as soon as you leave our property.
Plenty of volcanoes to explore nearby, including the mythical Puy-de-Dôme, Puy-de-Côme and Puy-de-Pariou.

The property is on the Dômes loop, so a stopover with us will be the perfect way to recharge your batteries before continuing your hike the next day.

The spots

The plot adjoins and overhangs the owners' house.
Access is via the owners' property and is easy (no gate).
The plot is large enough to accommodate a few tourists (2,000m²), so you're free to choose where you'd like to set up. I only receive a maximum of 3/4 families at a time, as we're concerned about everyone's peace and quiet, this is not a campsite ;) ...

The activities are numerous, we are close to Vulcania, Clermont-Ferrand (the big town - 25 minutes), Pontgibaud (the small town - 7 minutes), la Bourboule,
le Mont Dore...

We are close to many lakes and water sports centers (between 10 and 30 kilometers), such as Anschal, Le Gour de Tazenat, Lac Chambon, La Chazotte and Confolant (Viaduc des Fades)...

Rules

> Arrival until 8pm.

> Please respect the peace and quiet of the owners and neighbors.
After 9.30pm, please do not make any noise. Listen to the crickets, they put on a show for you every evening.

> Respect the cleanliness of the grounds and communal areas, be kind and respectful, and for smokers, no cigarette butts on the ground (you'll have an ashtray if you're a smoker).

> The grounds are large enough for you to run around in, so please respect the owners' private property.

> The owners' swimming pool is not available to tourists.

Outstanding

  • François made us feel very welcome, and our night on his fields was calm and peaceful. Ideally located for a stay at Vulcania or Puy de Dôme. The latter is clearly visible from this spot.
