Description

Self-catering campsite in a pine forest in the center of a vast natural landscape. Chambord is just a few minutes away by bike along the cycle paths in the forest.
You'll be greeted by Tango, our crazy but very sociable young dog. You can also visit our chickens and relax by the river, where you can fish.

The setting

Quiet location, but all shops within 5 minutes' walk: bakeries, chemists, supermarkets, butchers and pork butchers, market on Thursdays and Sundays in season.
Various restaurants and catering services are also within walking distance.
The village even has a chocolate factory that you can visit.

The spots

In the shade of a 5000m² pine forest, you can sit back and relax in the middle of a 20000m² plot, surrounded by a river.

The sanitary facilities

Dry toilets, urinals, hot showers and outdoor sinks are available 24 hours a day.

The amenities

Electrical outlets are available via an extension cord that can be brought to the camping area.

Wifi available in the vicinity of the house (but not in the camping area itself).
Bikes and tandems available on loan at extra cost.

The activities

Chambord is easily accessible by bike, and even on foot for good walkers, via forest paths. Cheverny is just over an hour's cycle ride away, on smaller roads.
It will take you 1 hour to cycle to Blois.
For seasoned cyclists, Chenonceaux, Chaumont sur Loire and Beauval are also within easy reach.

Other things

We are cyclists and can repair or adjust your bikes or lend you equipment.

Rules

- the presence of various pets: dogs, chickens, squirrels, ducks, hedgehogs, coypu... Please take into account any phobias, allergies or bird flu problems you may have. If you bring your own pets, they must be sociable with our playful dog.
- The site may not be suitable for young children due to the presence of the river and the dog, who can be brusque when trying to play, even if he's used to seeing children of all ages.
- the (private) parking lot is located in front of the gate. Only one entry and exit for motorized vehicles per stay on the site itself for installation and departure. Please take this into account, especially if you have a van.

  • A very warm and welcoming family! The forest setting really makes you want to bivouac. Beware, however, for less adventurous campers: there are lots of small animals (squirrels, owls...) and insects (wasps, mosquitoes, horseflies...). I recommend :)

  • Great welcome from Sébastien and his family (not forgetting Tango, the dog!). Tents under the pines in a large, quiet area. Small studio available for travelers, with all facilities for washing and cooking. And if you like, Sébastien can sell you vegetables from his organic garden and eggs from his chickens for a few euros. A great way to eat fresh, balanced food when you're cycling the Loire!
