Description

Our house has a plot of 1000m2, in the countryside of Lille, 15 min away. Our garden is offset.
We are a family of 4, my husband and I who are used to camping, and 2 young children aged 2 and 4, as well as 2 cats.

The setting

We live in a village in the Lille metropolitan area. Our garden is divided into 2 parts. One just behind the house, and another on the side, offset from the house. It's long, so you're far from the street. It can be shady or sunny, depending on the location. Our neighbor has chickens, roosters and a goat. So it's possible to hear the rooster crow in the morning. As for us, we have 2 cats wandering around.
If you're in the back part of the house, you'll only be able to see vegetation and gardens.

The spots

We advise you to set up in the part offset from the house, for greater peace and quiet. There's both shade and sun, depending on the trees. The plot is flat. Access is easy, via the tarmac driveway to the side of the house. Then you have to set up on foot in the garden. No maximum dimensions for the tent.

The sanitary facilities

We have sanitary facilities inside the house, with hot water, washbasin, bath and shower.
For use from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The amenities

Internet wifi available.
We have a microwave, electric hobs, oven and fridge. If you need crockery, we can provide it.
There are two electricity sockets outside, and if you need a telephone you can charge it in the kitchen, we have 3 sockets.

The activities

The Herlies and Armentières swimming pools are close by. You'll find all you need for shopping in the village, with its bakery, cheese shop and delicatessen, as well as a farmers' cooperative. In the next village you'll also find all these shops, plus a crossroads with a petrol station. There are several hiking trails in the Weppes and further afield in Flanders. We're at the heart of World War I tourism, with numerous historic sites, military cemeteries and museums dedicated to the subject. We have a café in the village, in the nearby village of Fleurbaix, you'll find several restaurants, and even more in the commune of La Chapelle d'Armentières or Armentières itself.
We're 15 min from Lille by car, 8 min from Armentières train station by car, and we have buses to the Lille metro. And 45 min from Dunkerque, the first beach.
If you have children, there are two playgrounds in the village next to the stadium.

Other things

We have two cats at home, who also roam around the garden.
In case of emergency, there's a pharmacy within walking distance of the village, doctors here, in Fleurbaix and in Armentieres. And a hospital in Armentieres.

Rules

For arrival, ideally from 9am, and in the evening no later than 8pm.
The first accesses are made with us, and afterwards you will have a badge to reach the garden.
Access to the house is possible from 6am to 8pm.
The house is non-smoking, smoking is possible outside, and cigarette butts must be disposed of in an ashtray.
Children are of course welcome. We have toys available in bins outside, a slide and toys on wheels in the alley leading to the garden. Please don't hesitate to ask us if you need them.

A 3-person tent
And a 4-person tent with 2 bedrooms.
We have a double inflatable mattress and two individual inflatable mattresses. And old-fashioned rolling rugs (x2). We have flashlights.
5€ per tent will be asked in supplement.
