Description

Looking for a change of scenery, a quiet natural setting? Looking for simple, high-quality moments? I'd love to offer you these moments, as I have 2 adorable little ones aged 4 and 8, 1 rather nice cat and a lovely piece of land to share! In my younger years, I traveled to Australia and New Zealand. The days of camping are long gone for me now, but the sense of hospitality and the memory of what it meant to have a warm welcome and a pleasant place where you feel calm and safe hasn't left me, and I hope to give you a taste of it in all simplicity and with the means at hand ;-)

The setting

At the back of one of the village's oldest stone houses lies an unexpected secret garden. At the end of the garden, nature gradually reverts to the wild, leading to an exceptional view over the valley. From here, you can see the villages of Dorinne, Spontin and Purnode in the distance... You'll glimpse pastures and forests, and with a bit of luck you'll see the kite gliding quietly by, and be amused by the swallows dancing around the old cherry tree.

The spots

At the far end of the garden, you'll find a plot where you can camp at the foot of the cherry tree. Further down, it's also possible to camp in a meadow when the sheep and goats aren't around. In autumn or winter, we can provide a guest room for up to 2 people - it would be a shame to miss out on the colors of nature at these times of year!

We'll provide you with an extension cord for electricity.

The activities

The region is just perfect for enjoying nature (hiking, climbing, kayaking...) and simple pleasures: magnificent hikes and typical restaurants nearby (Crupet is 5 minutes away by car, 30 minutes on foot...). Looking for culture? The Musée de la Vieille Ferme in Godinne, Dinant's cultural center, Namur's many museums just 20 minutes away by car... hiking trails directly opposite the house will take you to Crupet, Evrehailles, Chansin... via pastures and forests: magnificent in all seasons!

Children welcome!!!! We provide a few outdoor games for children to play while parents enjoy a drink or simply relax!

Rules

-ok to smoke but no cigarette butts left on site
-Respect for the garden and plants
-no dogs! our cat is adamant on this point ;-)
-Access is via the house or a small, narrow passage to the right of the house, allowing you to be independent!
-Good humor, politeness and respect for the site and nature are the basic rules...
We're not camping experts, but we're flexible and good-natured! :-)
