Description

We invite you to stop off in our garden. Our house is located in the heart of the Perche region, in Mortagne-au-Perche, a town of 4,000 inhabitants classified as one of the "Petites cités de caractères". Here you'll find a remarkable historical, cultural and natural heritage. Stroll through the narrow cobbled streets of this ancient fortified town.

The setting

You'll feel like you're in the countryside in our enclosed garden. Nights are calm and traffic light.

The spots

The terrain is flat. It's all lawn. The entrance is through a gate of traditional dimensions, which is why only vans are accepted.

The sanitary facilities

The toilet is outside in a hut. There is also an outside sink with cold water.

The amenities

A garden table and barbecue are available. There's also a microwave and kettle.
Wifi is available.
Possibility of taking a shower in our house in a shower room with direct access to the outside.
Possibility of recharging your cell phone.
Possibility of washing (extra charge €3 per machine) and hanging out clothes.
Possibility of plugging into the house's electricity supply (supplement 3€ per family / day).
Children can enjoy the swings and a children's tree house.

The activities

There are many places to visit in the town: Porte Saint-Denis, the Saint-André crypt, the remains of the former collegiate church, the Notre Dame church, the town hall, the cloister...
Mortagne-au-Perche is the capital of black pudding, but you can also discover the products of local artisans at the Saturday market.
In the surrounding area, you can see the famous Percherons at stud farms that offer tours. You can also take horse-riding lessons at riding schools.
You can also visit the Alain Memorial Museum.
Numerous walks lead to the forests of Bellême and Réno-Valdieu.
There are also a number of excellent restaurants to choose from.

Other things

Possibility of buying eggs and apple juice (homemade) on site.

Rules

So as not to disturb our neighbors, noise must be kept to a minimum after 10 pm.
You may enter and leave the garden at any time.
Smokers are welcome, provided they dispose of their cigarette butts in the ashtrays provided.

  • In transit on Veloscenie, we had a wonderful encounter. Caroline and her husband are welcoming and available, a peaceful place full of charm with a special mention for the garden shed provided and the discovery of the town via a little evening stroll.
We'll be back as soon as the opportunity arises.

  • Thank you Caroline for your welcome, I had a good night's rest, your facilities are very good even the "kitchen" :-).

  • The best experience I've had in the region (over 3 nights).
Very quick response, even for the same evening and the village is very cute.
Thanks to Caroline and her husband for their warm welcome.

  • Perfect for a stay on the veloscenie. Great hospitality from Caroline, and good facilities.

  • Go there with your eyes closed! The setting is very pleasant, the services offered are perfect and our hosts are adorable: the ideal place for a break on the Veloscénie (we had 2 tents and 5 bikes, 2 adults, 3 children).

  • Caroline and her family's house (including friends ;-)) is great! Conveniently located for the center of town (with a steep climb...). Very welcoming garden... as welcoming as the owners. WC and water point outside, it's easy. Caroline has thought of everything, providing a kettle, microwave and some crockery. You can also use the washing machine. Great! Who knows? we'll be sharing chocolate and beer on your new super terrace next time!

  • Super home camper! Livened up our stay and took us from Paris to Mont Saint Michel! Pleasant, welcoming and generous. Go there with your eyes closed, with friends, family or as a couple, the place suits everyone!

  • Very warm welcome from Caroline!
We were 5 with 3 tents and enjoyed her barbecue for dinner.
    Thanks again!

  • Charming and welcoming place and hosts, we'll be back as soon as we can.
