Description

Enclosed garden, surrounded by vines, a few fruit trees for a little shade and dry toilets available!

No access to water or electricity on site, and no grey water disposal area.

I look forward to sharing my little corner of paradise with you ????

The setting

At the foot of the Bauges massif, above Lac de Carouge, I welcome you to a plot of land easily accessible via a carriage road in very good condition.

The spots

Part of the plot (approx. 100 m2) is flat and the surrounding 800/1000 m2 is a bit sloping, but it's still possible to set up a tent, van or similar without falling off the bed!

The sanitary facilities

Dry toilets and jerry cans of drinking water freely available in the meadow

The amenities

Table and chairs are available and on request I can set up a barbecue (if the vegetation is not too dry in the vicinity!!).

The activities

3 km from the town of Saint Pierre d'Albigny, where you'll find small shops and a Friday morning market. A 10-minute walk from Lac de Carouge and 2km from a supermarket with petrol pumps.
Numerous hiking and mountain-biking trails in the vicinity, as well as a greenway.

Other things

On the gps, enter "lac de carouge 73250 Saint Pierre d'Albigny".
When you reach the lake, follow "SAINT PIERRE D'ALBIGNY/col du frêne" and 300m further on, take the first road on the right, then 200m further on, turn right again onto a dirt track between vineyards, and follow it until you find a fenced-in area on your right. You've arrived!

Railroad track below the field, so be careful!
Not many trains during the day, and only a few freight trains at night, which will be the only nuisance, albeit a fleeting one!

Rules

Use the dry toilets according to the following rules: leave them as clean as when you arrived!

Leave with your waste

Do not empty your grey water

Respect the quiet of the surrounding area

No loose animals

No campfires

Outstanding
  • Virginie is extremely kind, attentive, accommodating and a good listener. I spent an incredible week in a tent between vineyards and mountains! A haven of peace!
