Description

You'll find yourself in the peace and quiet of this pretty little forest on the banks of the river, with your feet in the water, surrounded by birds. Relaxation, hiking, meditation, swimming ;)

The setting

Come and enjoy one hectare of nature and peace!
At the top of the site, you'll find a parking lot and sanitary facilities, plus a shaded pitch for motorhomes, converted trucks or tents, before heading down into the forest.
Down below, a 2nd area on the banks of the river, featuring a tepee and safari tent, a tent pitch, dry toilets and camping tables.

Forest of oak, lime and ash. Many wild animals and birds nest here.
View of the river, limestone beach where you can walk or swim, or land on the beach in summer.

Access is a bit tricky: 85 steps ;)

The spots

A tipi-type safari tent for 3-4 people, a warm cocoon in the middle of the forest, with a comfortable bed.

Bedding and towels provided.

The sanitary facilities

There are dry toilets as well as a washbasin and shower in a small wooden hut (cold water /1 solar shower) for campers. Dry toilets are also installed at the bottom of the site.

Very good telephone and Internet connections.
Access to water.
There is no kitchen and no electricity, so bring your own camping equipment.
Food and shopping available at 3km and 5km.
1 Paddle available.

Camping tables, benches and hammocks in the forest. Other games on request (snake line, petanque, darts, etc.).

The activities

Surrounding area: Small, supervised natural beach on the river with a small "guinguette" (dance hall) 3km away.
Hiking trails in the high forest 200m away.
La Roche Posay (thermal baths, casino, entertainment, ice-cream parlors, market, etc.) 5km away.
Angle sur l'anglin 20 min (most beautiful village in france).
Le grand pressigny 15 min (prehistory museum).
Michelin-starred gourmet restaurant (Le Petit Pressigny).
Guinguettes, concerts every weekend in summer (Yzeures-sur-creuse, Preuilly-sur-claise).

Other things

We have a small house on the land and we'd like to share this peaceful spot and welcome people who respect nature. A quiet place in the middle of nature, ideal for resting, meditating, reading or hiking :)

Rules

Pets are not accepted, but depending on the case it may be possible, please ask us before booking.

Respect the natural environment and wild animals (swans, deer, kingfishers, cormorants, etc.) by observing them from a distance.

Take your rubbish with you at the end of your stay.

We can provide extra sleeping accommodation on request.
