Description

Replenish with pure mountain vibrant energy. Have a weekend retreat or get to experience off the grid living in a tent in the mountain of Serra da Estrela, up to a month!

The setting

Wild and beautiful place to rest and refill with vibrant natural energy. No electricity on site. Most amazing landscapes. Surrounded with mountain streams. Walking distance from the village with restaurant and plenty of traditional food at best possible rates. Walking distance from daily bus stop, but for more mobility you will ideally rather get here by car. Other arrangements to your needs also possible.

The spots

Ideal for treks in the mountain or exploring hidden gem spots of river sidewalks. You'll get to see the daily life of shepherds tending their flocks of sheep. There is an open air swimming pool in the outskirts of the closest village which is permanently refilled with running mountain water. Historical castle and fountains to visit in the closest village at walking distance. Other castle with ramparts to visit in the surroundings (car needed).

The sanitary facilities

Bathroom in the woods, digging a cathole. River baths and camping solar shower bag at disposal.

The amenities

We don't provide internet, although access to WIFI network is permanently available.

Gas kitchen stove and gas
Basic kitchen equipment to cook and eat and Basic ingredients (olive oil, salt, pepper, sugar); Restaurant at a 20 minutes walk distance.

Electricity currently not connected, but could be made available at the gate of the property (upon arrangement).

The activities

Listen to the sound of silence. Fill your lungs with the purest air of Portugal. Trekking, Sightseeing, climbing, paragliding, historical visits, fishing.

Other things

Access to the camping site of the property requires a 180 meters inclined path walk or a 400 meters of less inclined path walk. Needs to be minimally fit to walk.

Rules

Independent access 24 hours. Animals welcome.

Tents are included in the price.

Charge per day and per tent of 2: 35€
Charge per day and per tent of 3: 50€
Charge per day and per tent of 4: 60€
Charge per day and per tent of 9: 120€

Minimum stay 2 days, or minimum fee 70€ (Possibility of discounted fee or no fee, against a variable amount of hours help per day, depending on season and works ongoing, upon arrangement).

We supply the tent (2, 3, 4 or 9 people) and the place. Tent included in the price. Other arrangements to your needs possible.

Complete respect of environment. No fire (summer season only), no alcohol nor illicit substances allowed on site.

Tent ready

We supply the tents (2, 3, 4 or 9 people). We expect you to bring your own sleeping bag. All additional camping gear (foam mattress, air mattress, lamps, can be supplied upon arrangement (small additional fees apply, payable on site).
