In the north of the Monts d'Ardèche, at an altitude of 750 meters above the medieval village of Désaignes, I simply offer to set up your tent or minivan on a plot of land in the countryside with a view of sunrise and sunset. Absolute peace and quiet. Ideal for hiking and rejuvenation.
(not suitable for children under 11, as the site is not secure).
(we accept dogs on a leash, as we have a lot of free-roaming animals: cats/peppies/lamas/hens etc.) if the dog is very well-behaved, it can be let go (to be determined on a case-by-case basis).
If you feel like it, we can eat, drink herbal tea, chat together or not...it's your stay!
The setting
Magnificent views, ideal setting for peace and quiet. No light (email hidden)stars in your eyes!
Your neighbors: my daughter, my dog and me of course... my dad and his dog and then Quechua and Aymara, our two llamas and all our other animals!
The spots
"camping nature" (no frills...)
I offer a large, flat pitch accessible to minivans (or small motorhomes) and tents. Shade in the morning, sun in the afternoon and until nightfall.
You can put your hammocks in the shade in the woods.
Cars remain parked upstairs in the parking lot. The rest is accessible on foot.
The sanitary facilities
I provide a shared shower, washbasin and toilet (on my premises).
Hot water.
In view of the water shortage, we ask you to be respectful of the time spent in the shower.
As the toilets are on our premises, we also ask you to respect correct shower times (not after 9 p.m. and not before 7 a.m.).
The premises must be cleaned up after your visit (we clean up our sticky poo! and we squeegee the floor after the shower).
The amenities
The best thing is for you to be self-sufficient,
but of course I can help out if you're short of anything (table/chairs/parasol... salt; pepper ;-) ) just ask, I've got almost everything on site, even hammocks!
Drinking water.
Here we don't have internet/ no wifi, but the telephone network works fine.
I can provide free electricity for cell phones, which can be recharged in a sheltered area.
If needed, washing machine (short cold cycle 15 minutes or 30 degrees 35 minutes) 4 euros washing powder supplied.
I can also provide a fridge (but not free access).
==> For riders, you can put your horses down on site: 2 euros per horse (please note that there are no stalls and not much shade at this time of year).
I have equipment available for setting up small removable fences.
(to be assembled and disassembled by you) to make small 8x8 pens.
I don't have a portable battery, though.
Horse shower: 3 euros (no shampoo as it's thrown on the ground)
Half bale of hay: 2 euros / full bale: 5 euros
==> Cyclists and bikers: storage space for your vehicles.
