Description

Located between Propriano and Filitosa, l'Ortu Tesoru, or the Treasure Garden, is a 1,500 m² vegetable garden nestled in the heart of the Corsican scrubland, where we develop several activities in parallel: sustainable agriculture based on the principles of permaculture and agroforestry, education and awareness of biodiversity and its conservation, and agritourism.

The garden is above all a place to live, meet and share. We'll be delighted to welcome you if you want to recharge your batteries in the countryside, immerse yourself in the wilderness or discover our simple, authentic way of life.

The setting

We offer you quiet and unusual spaces in the heart of nature, between forest and garden.

The vegetation on the site is very dense, and we're in the heart of a suberaie (forest of holm and cork oaks). You'll also be able to spot various species of wild trees such as olive, pear, myrtle, hawthorn and mastic...

The kitchen garden is home to a variety of fruit trees, vegetables, melliferous flowers and aromatic and medicinal plants.

You can buy baskets of fruit and vegetables from the garden, or have lunch or dinner in our little plant canteen.

The spots

We have 7 spots, spaced fairly far apart for greater privacy.

The terrain is hilly but very easy to access. We have wide paths and tracks that allow easy access to the different spots with any vehicle (car, van, camper...).

The sanitary facilities

We provide an outdoor shower with hot water, as well as dry toilets and a washbasin that you can use at any time of the day or night.

The amenities

You can use electricity to recharge your water tanks.
We run a long cable to your spot so you're completely self-sufficient in electricity. We can also lend you extension cords if required.

Electricity: 4€/day
Water refill 150L: 2€.

The activities

The garden is located in the heart of the Gulf of Valinco, an unspoilt and authentic micro region with wild beaches, coves, seaside and mountain villages, rivers, hiking, canyoning... You'll also find a wide choice of restaurants, straw huts and beach bars nearby.

Rules

Arrivals are from 2 p.m. to 8.30 p.m., but we can also welcome you later if required.
We accept pets, but we're counting on you not to let them ruin the crops if they feel like it :)

Extras

Possibility of breakfast (€10 / person)

Coffee or herbal tea with aromatic plants from the garden
Toast + butter + small jar of raspberry jam from the garden
Soft-boiled egg (freshly harvested from the henhouse that morning) with salted butter pastries

Tent ready

We can accommodate you in Saharan tents measuring around 9m2, ideal for 2 people. The tents are equipped with comfortable bedding (quality mattresses, pillows and sheets provided) and a wood-burning stove for cooler seasons.

A supplement of €50 per night is payable on site for tent rental.
