Description

Hello,
I'd like to welcome you to my garden on the banks of the Cher, in a very tranquil setting in the countryside.
It will be possible for you to pitch your tent, and you will have access to a bathroom in the house.
To eat, come and share a meal with us! Otherwise, a campfire is available, or you can use the kitchen.
Animals roam freely in the grounds, so you may be visited by a large, friendly dog, cats, rabbits... and you can come and meet billy goats, chickens, bees, ducks and doves.
Here, animals are our friends - we just don't eat them. Meat is not allowed on the grounds. :)

The setting

It's a large enclosed garden with trees, in the middle of fields on the banks of the Cher river. The setting is in the countryside, with no neighbors (apart from the inhabitants of the house) and very quiet.
The garden is of the "wild edible" type. Depending on the season and availability, I'd be delighted to help you discover and share the fruits, vegetables and mushrooms that grow there.
You can sometimes hear the road and the passing train. The roosters will wake you up in the morning!
There's a guinguette just 200m away. The atmosphere is very pleasant, but the music can be a bit (email hidden)My house is on the land, but it's big enough to give you peace and quiet if you're the solitary type.
Beware, this is a humid area: mosquitoes are around!

The spots

The terrain is relatively flat, so you can set up just about anywhere you like. Trees provide shade.
Several tents are possible.

The sanitary facilities

Sanitary facilities (shower, toilet) are in the house.
Running water (non-potable) available outside.
Drinking water inside.
Hot water: yes, but not much! Please take short showers so that everyone can wash.
Opening hours? Flexible!

The amenities

Internet: Wifi or 4G network.
Kitchen: can be used on request. Oven, hob and microwave available, as well as crockery and cutlery.
Electricity: Yes. If required, an extension cord can be plugged into your tent. You can also safely leave your phones on charge.

The activities

We're in the châteaux region!
The site is a 5-minute bike ride from Château de Nitray, and a 40-minute bike ride from the magnificent Château de Chenonceau.
The pretty town of Amboise and its forest are also nearby.
In summer, a ginguette is open every evening, 200 meters away, and the atmosphere is very pleasant.
Just opposite the house, it's possible to take a boat trip (reservations required). You can also go swimming.
There's an excellent restaurant in the village, 5 minutes away.
You can also simply stroll through the garden, enjoy an evening by the fire, and stroll along the river!

Rules

Hours: flexible! You can arrive between 6pm and midnight. I can make myself available beforehand to welcome you if need be.
Smokers accepted, children welcome! Children can play freely in the garden, and approach the farm animals under adult supervision (billy goats are very friendly and cuddly, but can be clumsy and push the little ones around).
Pets accepted on condition that they are sociable with all types of animals.
Cooking and meat consumption prohibited on site.
