Description

Beautiful 70 acre horse ranch with family-friendly yards and hayfields for room to roam. RV hookup pad, water, electric 1, no gray water or black water hookup, good Wifi (Fiberoptic 1gig). Can fit up to 35' trailer, must be able to back into spot. On Surface Creek.

The setting

Surface Creek runs along the backside of the RV pad with frontside views of horse corrals, riding arena, the Adobe Buttes and the Grand Mesa. Tongue Creek Ranch is within 30 minutes of the Grand Mesa where hunting, fishing, skiing, hiking and snowmobiling abound! We are within an hour of Ridgeway, Ouray, Grand Junction, The Black Canyon of the Gunnison and the Colorado National Monument. There are also a number of great wineries and breweries in surrounding towns. Delta County is known for it's wonderful orchards and home-grown vegetables. Be sure to get some Olathe Sweet, Sweet Corn in the summertime!

The spots

Tongue Creek Ranch is a working horse ranch with many different corrals hosting up to 25 horses. We offer a petting zoo with Nigerian Dwarf Goats, chickens and a miniature horse named "Johnny Cash". Johnny Cash can be rented out for rides for children 50 pounds or less. Owners will guide a ride on the property complete with a western saddle and bridle! Kids love the interaction with our "pets" and lots of space to run! We also offer a playground set in our large back yard! Dogs are welcome as long as they are on a leash and don't leave us any "surprises" to pick up when they go.

The activities

Kids love the playground set, meeting our pets in the "petting zoo", meeting the horses, the barn cat (Mojo) and Annie Oakley, the resident Border Collie. Adults love the nearby outdoor adventures from hiking, skiing, fishing, hunting and boating as well as touring wineries, local shops, restaurants, hot springs and breweries.We also have a bonfire pit surrounded by big logs for seating. Watch the beautiful stars under our Colorado skies!

Other things

In addition to our working horse ranch and hay fields, we offer several vacation rentals on site through Airbnb and VRBO. We also have a "Glamping Cabin" for rent through Hip Camp. We have hosted weddings and parties and are even set up to put on an incredible "barn dance" if you so desire! Our winters are mild, our summers are warm (even hot) and the mountain adventures are in our backyard! Check us (email hidden) for more photos and descriptions. Rules

Please don't feed any of the animals without checking with the owners first. We are happy to help assist you with any requests if we can make it happen! Since the horses are stabled here and don't belong to us, we do not offer rides with the exception of the miniature horse. Please do not smoke around any of the barns due to risk of fire.
