Description

A simple little cabin in a beautiful setting, far from the noise and lights of the city. Ideal for nature and peace lovers.
One bedroom with 2 bunk beds, benches in the living room and the possibility of pitching tents next to the cabin.

The setting

The plot is a 10-minute walk from the road (250m) and 400m from our house, in a quiet, bucolic setting with magnificent views over the Loire gorges, the Sucs region and the Château d'Artias.
Access is by foot or all-terrain vehicle via a track.

The spots

The cabin is divided into two rooms: a kitchen-living room and a small bedroom.
The bedroom has 2 bunk beds.
Two people can sleep on the benches in the main room. Possibility of pitching a tent next to the cabin for additional travelers.

The sanitary facilities

There are basic dry toilets on site in a separate shed, and a solar shower will be installed shortly. No hot water or heating at present.

The amenities

The cabin has a gas stove, cooking utensils, crockery etc... A solar panel provides light and recharges phones and other devices.
Spring water supplies the tap, but is not controlled, so is officially undrinkable. A can of drinking water will be made available to visitors.

The activities

A hiking trail runs alongside the property, offering the chance to hike up Mont Miaune or down into the Loire gorges.
Retournac with its shops (bakeries, grocery store/local crafts, supermarket) is 5 kilometers away.
In summer, there's swimming in the Loire and an outdoor (email hidden)Le Puy is 40 minutes away by car, Saint Etienne 1 hour.
The nearest train station is in Retournac.
Weekly market in Retournac on Wednesday mornings.
I offer basket-weaving courses on site.

Other things

You can buy local and organic produce (vegetables, jams and syrups) directly from us in the village, as we are producers.
We don't recommend accessing the site by car, as the track is quite stony and some sections are steep.

Rules

At the moment, one person is living on the site in a yurt, so please respect his presence.
Please do not smoke inside the cabin.

Extras

Possibility of breakfast (€7 / person)
