Description

Immersion in the heart of a community garden - stay art & nature.

The setting

Our site in the Haute Vallée de l'Aude is made up of several areas: a Land'art forest and mini eco-ludi-park in the making, a vegetable garden with a dozen family plots and a large collective gardening plot. On the banks of the creek, there's a pleasure ground with an outdoor kitchen and a garden lounge where we sometimes hold workshops or evenings in preparation for the LUMINA BOTANICA festival once a week in summer. This is where we suggest you pitch your tent for one or more nights.
A refund is possible if you leave a natural work of art along the way (land art that can withstand the test of time until at least September 14, 2024, the date of the festival).

The spots

Access to the site is by footbridge only, so it's not possible to bring your van, truck or caravan. However, you can choose from a range of tent sites, close to amenities or in the forest.
Free for children under 12.

The sanitary facilities

Dry toilet on site. Drinking water supply from Alet les Bains spring. System D shower for the moment. Natural hot spring at Rennes les Bains (15Km)

The amenities

Outside kitchen with gas/coffee/tea/dishes but no electricity. Appliances can be refilled by members to help out.

The activities

The upper Aude valley is generally visited for its hiking, Catharism, dinosaurs, Bugarach, energies, Marie-Madeleine, white-water sports, its famous Espéraza folk market and of course its landscape...we have plenty of local nuggets to recommend.

Rules

The various areas are not fenced off, so we ask you to respect the work of the gardeners in a climate of trust, and not to use or trample on their plots. On the other hand, you can help yourself to the collective plot by bartering with helpers or making a donation to the association. To be seen on site.
Likewise, respect for artistic works and other installations.
Fire authorized only in the presence of a member of the association.
